The award is presented annually to the law firm that displays an exceptional commitment to pro bono work. Yergey and Yergey P.A. was recognized for its increasing participation in the difficult guardianship cases involving indigent Ward's of the state, training Legal Aid society staff, and its significant contributions to benefit Senior's First. Most importantly we were happy to share our restrooms when they had plumbing issues.
Since 1928, the family-run firm has produced four generations of lawyers dedicated to serving the people of Central Florida. Throughout their history, the attorneys at Yergey & Yergey, P.A. have volunteered their time to pro bono work that has benefitted the community ranging from the Honorable D. Arthur Yergey’s founding of Edgewater Children’s Ranch to David A. Yergey III ("D3") recent efforts to benefit Seniors First. As D3 likes to say “If you see a problem? Find a solution! No excuses!” Each and every case that we handle in our office is unique, challenging, and rewarding. However, there is nothing more rewarding than helping a desperate individual whose only source of payment to us is their sincerest gratitude. That helps bring us back to why each and every one of us practices law - to help those in need and make a difference.
