David A. Yergey III ("D3")

David A. Yergey III — known to clients and colleagues as "D3" — is a Partner at Yergey & Yergey, P.A. and the fourth generation of his family to practice law in Central Florida. Since joining his father David A. Yergey, Jr. at the firm in 2014, D3 has brought a dynamic blend of deep tax law expertise, cutting-edge technology, and aggressive litigation skill to the firm's century-old legacy. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law and is one of a select few Central Florida attorneys who actively litigates probate and trust disputes. D3 currently serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching Wills & Trusts at FAMU College of Law, and has been recognized for his leadership roles within the Orange County Bar Association, where he served as Chairman of the Estate, Guardianship & Trust Committee.

About D3

Born and raised in Winter Park, Florida, David attended Lake Highland Preparatory School for 13 years before heading north to the University of Florida, where he was a member of Florida Blue Key — UF's most prestigious honor society — and served as Director of Art and Layout for Gator Growl two years running. After law school at Nova Southeastern University, he returned to Orlando to join the family firm as a fourth-generation attorney. While practicing full-time, he completed his LL.M. in Taxation through an online night school program at the University of Alabama — earning four degrees in total. Outside the law, D3 is an avid Gator fan who loves water sports, including fishing, scuba diving, water skiing, and wakeboarding.
